Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality table service, including greeting guests, explaining menus, and taking orders
• Manage guest checks and payments using the point of sale system
• Maintain deep knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials
• Perform dining room setup and breakdown, ensuring a clean and organized workspace
• Manage inventory tasks such as restocking supplies, linens, and service items
• Retrieve food from the kitchen and assist with service needs like supplying ice
• Serve guests on the outside terrace during appropriate seasonal months
• Adhere to professional grooming standards and university policies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in a full-service, high-quality restaurant, bar, or lounge
• Strong knowledge of food and wine service
• Ability to balance trays and lift/carry items in excess of 20 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
