About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate photolithography tools including coaters, developers, aligners, and steppers/scanners in a Class 1–100 cleanroom
- Perform wafer coating, soft bake, alignment, exposure, and development steps according to engineering instructions
- Inspect wafers using microscopes and metrology tools such as CD-SEM, profilometers, and ellipsometers
- Monitor equipment performance, identify abnormalities, and escalate issues to engineering or maintenance teams
- Follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate production logs
- Handle photoresists, developers, and solvents safely following all EHS protocols
- Support process improvement initiatives and participate in design of experiments (DOE)
- Maintain cleanroom discipline, including gowning and contamination control
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or associate degree preferred
- Experience working in a wafer fab, cleanroom, or high-precision manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with photolithography processes including resist coating, alignment, and exposure
- Ability to read and follow detailed SOPs and work instructions
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or chemical systems
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, or rotating schedules as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with equipment from ASML, Nikon, Canon, TEL, or SUSS
- Knowledge of photoresists, developers, and lithography chemistry
- Experience with metrology tools such as CD-SEM, AFM, or optical inspection systems
- Basic data analysis skills using Excel, SPC charts, or yield tracking
- Prior experience in high-volume manufacturing (HVM) or advanced node lithography
