Wafer Failure Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify failure modes in wafer and backend processes, assess impact, and define containment actions
• Drive root cause analysis and implement corresponding corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Process, Development, Integration, and Equipment Engineering
• Perform statistical analyses to support the identification of failure mode root causes
• Apply 8D (Eight Disciplines) methodology for structured problem solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven ability to excel in cross-functional team environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated strength in problem-solving methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of or experience with semiconductor fabrication processes
• Experience working in a semiconductor or related manufacturing environment
• Coursework in engineering statistics
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies, including 8D and DMAIC
• Experience using AI in an academic setting
