Vulnerability Management Lead

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle including discovery, validation, prioritization, and remediation across cloud, on-prem, and embedded Linux environments
• Operate and optimize enterprise vulnerability scanning platforms for continuous credentialed scanning
• Integrate vulnerability scanning into CI/CD pipelines to harden build workflows and surface supply chain risks
• Apply CVSS, CISA KEV, and exploit maturity context to drive risk-based SLAs
• Partner with software and platform engineering teams to drive timely remediation and manage escalation paths
• Lead critical CVE response, including rapid triage and impact assessment for zero-days
• Align the VM program to CMMC Level 2/3 requirements and produce audit-ready evidence
• Build and mature automation for scan scheduling, finding enrichment, and ticket creation

Requirements

• 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years of hands-on vulnerability management ownership
• Deep operational expertise with enterprise vulnerability scanning platforms
• Strong command of CVE/CVSS scoring and CISA KEV
• Experience with CI/CD security tooling and supply chain risk management
• Proven track record driving remediation accountability across engineering teams
• Experience aligning VM programs to federal or defense compliance frameworks (CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, or NIST RMF)
• Security clearance eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret or TS clearance
• Experience with AI-assisted vulnerability tooling or graph-based asset analysis
• Scripting or automation experience in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Experience with container and cloud-native vulnerability management
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CySA+, or Security+
