Vulnerability Management Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute vulnerability scans and monitor results to identify security risks
• Triage and prioritize vulnerabilities for remediation efforts
• Coordinate with asset and application owners to facilitate patching
• Assess and communicate vulnerability risks to relevant stakeholders
• Participate in red team and purple team exercises to support offensive security
• Document findings and assist in the preparation of security reports
• Maintain scanning application configurations and manage patching exceptions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in vulnerability management
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management concepts and lifecycle
• Familiarity with network protocols, operating systems, and web technologies
• Proven experience using vulnerability management and scanning tools
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant security certifications such as Security+ or CEH
• Hands-on experience with Rapid7 tools
• A strong desire to learn and grow within offensive security operations
