Vulnerability Management Consulting Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support local teams in planning and preparing activities for OS patching and hardening processes.
• Manage vulnerability and patch management processes using Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solutions like Qualys and Endpoint Central.
• Assist in creating action plans for covered products, including server, application, and system validation.
• Apply security patches, bug fixes, and improvements using automation tools according to agreed action plans.
• Collect evidence of patch application, perform troubleshooting for impacted systems, and report activities in follow-up meetings.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Qualys modules (VDMR and PA/SCA GAV/CA) for vulnerability scanning and MITRE-based reporting.
• Experience with VMware VMs and cloud instances in AWS, Azure, and OCI.
• Basic administration skills for macOS (memory, disk space, CPU, and network tuning) and familiarity with Apple Security Updates.
• Linux system administration skills (RedHat-like) focused on OS hardening based on CIS Controls.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document processes for clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Endpoint Central for patch application and report extraction.
• Experience with Python and Regex for transforming reports into dashboards.
