About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the Windows vulnerability subject matter expert, overseeing remediation processes and improving enterprise vulnerability management practices.
- Lead enterprise Windows OS and baseline vulnerability remediation efforts, including identification, prioritization, and validation of corrective actions.
- Drive monthly patching and remediation activities for the PC environment to ensure timely risk reduction.
- Collaborate with Security, Architecture, and Engineering teams to establish Windows OS standards and security baselines.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and lead proofs of concept for modernization efforts related to the Windows platform.
- Develop and execute test plans for technology solutions, patches, and configuration changes.
- Serve as a point of escalation for second- and third-tier support analysts regarding systemic issues and complex remediation challenges.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in an IT-related field.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, endpoint hardware, and enterprise desktop engineering.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerability management, and security baselines.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting using system-level APIs and WMI, preferably with PowerShell, to automate remediation and reporting.
- Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- A four-year bachelor’s degree in a computing or engineering field.
- Experience with Windows 11 imaging, operating system deployment, and baseline hardening.
- Working knowledge of network, server, and storage technologies.
