About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Windows vulnerability subject matter expert, overseeing remediation processes and improving enterprise vulnerability management practices.
  • Lead enterprise Windows OS and baseline vulnerability remediation efforts, including identification, prioritization, and validation of corrective actions.
  • Drive monthly patching and remediation activities for the PC environment to ensure timely risk reduction.
  • Collaborate with Security, Architecture, and Engineering teams to establish Windows OS standards and security baselines.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and serve as a lead resource for proofs of concept and modernization efforts related to the Windows platform.
  • Develop and execute test plans for the deployment of technology solutions, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for second- and third-tier support analysts regarding systemic issues and complex remediation challenges.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in an IT-related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, endpoint hardware, and enterprise desktop engineering.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerability management, and security baselines.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting using system-level APIs and WMI, preferably with PowerShell, to automate remediation and reporting.
  • Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex technical subjects for non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A four-year bachelor’s degree in a computing or engineering field.
  • Experience with Windows 11 imaging, operating system deployment, and baseline hardening.
