VTH Technical Staff Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and support technical staff operations within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH)
• Oversee veterinary technicians, veterinary technician assistants, and dosimetrists/radiation therapists
• Ensure high-quality, compliant patient care and consistent standards of excellence
• Develop, maintain, and implement VTH policies and procedures
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and mentoring of technical staff
• Act as a liaison between technical staff and hospital administration
• Drive continuous improvement and foster a positive, efficient hospital culture

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business or medical-related)
• Five years of progressive responsibility in a related field
• At least three years of supervisory experience
• Knowledge of hospital operations processes and medical terms, procedures, laws, and regulations
• Experience in a leadership position within a veterinary or human medical hospital
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., Microsoft Access)
• Proficiency in practice management and electronic medical record systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or professional certification in a veterinary-related field
• Extensive experience in leadership roles within medical hospital environments
