VP/Director, Tech Lead – Operations Technology

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior engineering point of contact for Operations Technology in the USA, driving initiatives across trade booking, reconciliation, and settlement
• Partner with global leadership to align priorities and manage dependencies across regions
• Lead and mentor a US-based engineering team to foster technical excellence
• Represent technology to senior business stakeholders including Trading, Operations, Finance, and Compliance
• Oversee resourcing, prioritization, and delivery for multiple concurrent technical initiatives
• Provide technical guidance on system design, architecture, and scalable trade systems
• Champion the adoption of AI and automation tools to improve team productivity and business outcomes

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering with significant leadership experience
• Strong background in financial services and trade lifecycle systems (middle/back office, settlements, reconciliations)
• Solid understanding of modern system design including APIs, databases, cloud, and event-driven architectures
• Proficiency in Java and Python environments
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead geographically distributed teams across time zones
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in digital assets, DeFi, or crypto markets
• Familiarity with both traditional finance and emerging market infrastructures
• Experience scaling global engineering teams or driving operational maturity
• Exposure to trade capture and settlement systems in multi-asset environments
