About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a highly effective U.S. medical launch to enable evidence-based adoption
  • Establish a credible scientific presence with U.S. KOLs, payers, and patient communities
  • Build and scale a high-performing Medical Affairs organization, including Field Medical teams
  • Define and execute the U.S. Medical Affairs strategy aligned with global objectives
  • Oversee U.S. medical tactics including KOL strategy, advisory boards, and medical education
  • Provide strategic oversight of U.S.-focused evidence generation and lifecycle management
  • Ensure the highest standards of medical integrity, compliance, and ethical conduct
  • Serve as the senior U.S. medical spokesperson to external stakeholders

Requirements

  • MD, PhD, Pharm D, or other relevant terminal degree
  • 20+ years of professional experience, including 10+ years in Medical Affairs
  • Rare disease and preferably neuromuscular launch experience
  • Experience leading Medical Affairs teams through the commercialization phase
  • In-depth knowledge of drug development, market access, and lifecycle management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, and Veeva
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the U.S. and internationally
  • Fluency in English

  • Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and learning styles
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Experience in a matrix environment
