VP, Technology Vendor Strategy & Management

Responsibilities

• Shape enterprise vendor strategy, including the multi-year roadmap and operating model for key technology suppliers.
• Own vendor governance and performance by establishing executive oversight frameworks, KPIs, and escalation models.
• Drive financial value through partnerships with Finance and Procurement to optimize spend, consumption, and contract value.
• Strengthen risk management by establishing standards for contract compliance, vendor risk, and service continuity.
• Act as a senior advisor to enterprise leaders, translating vendor performance and financial insights into actionable decisions.
• Lead the transformation of the VMO function by modernizing tools, processes, and metrics to scale impact.

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional experience, including significant leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading enterprise technology vendor management or sourcing functions.
• Deep expertise in supplier governance, managed services, and performance management (SLAs, KPIs, XLAs).
• Strong track record managing large, complex vendor ecosystems and outsourcing engagements.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver financial value through cost optimization and risk mitigation.
• Executive-level communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across Technology, Finance, Procurement, and Legal.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading complex vendor negotiations, renewals, or large-scale sourcing initiatives.
• Background in building data-driven vendor performance dashboards and governance frameworks.
• Formal training or certification in sourcing, procurement, or contract negotiation.
• Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications.
