VP, Specialty Pharmacy Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, performance, and execution of specialty pharmacy operations, including intake, verification, and dispensing
• Oversee patient management programs to ensure adherence, persistence, and optimal clinical outcomes
• Drive operational efficiency across workflows such as prior authorization, benefits investigation, and fulfillment
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and payer requirements including URAC and ACHC
• Develop and implement scalable operating models to support growth in specialty volume and complexity
• Monitor key performance indicators including turnaround time, adherence rates, and patient satisfaction
• Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing operations team across pharmacy and patient services
• Partner with clinical, product, and technology teams to enhance patient experience and operational performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 10+ years of experience in specialty pharmacy operations
• Deep expertise in patient management, dispensing workflows, and reimbursement processes
• Experience managing large-scale pharmacy operations and teams
• Experience with pharmacy management systems, EMR integrations, and reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications

• PharmD or MBA degree
• Experience working with specialty pharmacy accreditation bodies (URAC, ACHC)
• Background in high-growth or multi-site pharmacy environments
• Current Pharmacist license
