VP - Relationship Management

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth by delivering quantitative and qualitative targets through strategic outreach and teamwork
• Identify new opportunities within debt capital markets, client profiles, and issuance pipelines
• Defend Moody’s agency-of-choice position through high-quality client interactions and strategic contract negotiations
• Lead high-level relationship meetings with senior decision-makers, including CFOs and Treasurers
• Perform hands-on account management for existing clients to ensure accurate operations and timely service
• Spearhead market expansion in evolving risk areas such as sustainable finance, digital finance, and private credit
• Foster engagement with issuer clients, prospects, and intermediaries while collaborating with ratings and research teams
• Manage a diverse portfolio across corporate, financial, public sectors, and structured finance

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in financial services with a strong background in sales and marketing
• Native Japanese proficiency and fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proven track record of sales success and consistently achieving commercial targets
• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
• Demonstrated proficiency in using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to engage C-level executives

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of financial instruments, debt capital, and credit markets
