VP-Ratings (US Insurance)

Responsibilities

• Lead credit analysis for a portfolio of U.S. P&C insurance entities, including insurance, reinsurance, and brokerage companies
• Analyze financial statements and qualitative factors to assess creditworthiness
• Prepare and present credit recommendations in rating committees and participate in analytical discussions
• Produce high-quality credit research, including issuer reports, sector commentary, and market updates
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with C-suite executives to evaluate strategic direction and risk exposure
• Engage with investors, intermediaries, and media to communicate credit views
• Mentor and support the development of junior analysts within the North American P&C insurance team
• Collaborate with global analytical teams to ensure consistency and depth of credit analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 8–10 years of relevant credit or financial analysis experience, preferably within the P&C insurance sector
• Deep knowledge of U.S. property and casualty insurance, reinsurance, and brokerage markets
• Strong financial statement analysis skills, including reserving practices, capital models, and enterprise risk management
• Proficiency in using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with senior executives and investors

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA in Finance
• CPA designation
• Actuarial designation (ACAS or FCAS)
