VP-Ratings (Fund Finance)

Responsibilities

• Lead credit analysis for assigning new ratings to fund finance transactions, including subscription credit facilities, NAV loans, and asset-backed lending.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with fund sponsors, lenders, and arrangers to support analytical excellence.
• Represent Moody’s Ratings as a thought leader through industry conferences, webinars, podcasts, and sector commentary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive excellence in credit analysis and contribute to methodology and technology development.
• Mentor and coach junior rating analysts to support their professional growth and technical skill development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of credit or risk assessment experience, specifically within fund finance, asset management, or structured finance.
• Deep understanding of the asset management sector, including key industry drivers and market players.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience in public speaking and professional writing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and an interest in leveraging AI tools to improve analytical efficiency.
• Proven track record of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
