VP, Publishing - Trading Card Games

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term go-to-market strategy for Fanatics TCG, including launch, live-support, and lifecycle management
• Own the strategic direction of organized play, including judge programs, prize support, and competition structures
• Architect and scale the player-facing digital ecosystem, including companion apps, deckbuilders, and collection tools
• Build player-identity and community infrastructure across titles, including community platforms and creator programs
• Align cross-functional partners across Studios, Commercial, Retail, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance
• Build and lead a senior team responsible for digital product, organized play, and community relations

Requirements

• 12-18+ years in senior publishing, product, or operating leadership roles
• Experience in TCG, gaming, or closely adjacent hobby categories
• Strong product mindset for player-facing software and digital roadmaps
• Systems thinker capable of creating repeatable, scalable capabilities
• Ability to operate in white space and define new functions
• Strong commercial and analytical literacy
• Deep commitment to player respect and long-term ecosystem health

Preferred Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience inside a major TCG publisher
• Experience designing or running organized play programs at scale
• Background in hybrid physical + digital ecosystems or marketplace businesses
• Familiarity with licensing, IP partnerships, or entertainment ecosystems
• Experience in high-growth consumer or digital commerce environments
• Passion for trading card games and fan culture
