VP, Product Management

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of Sotheby’s core business lines
• Create a product vision for client-facing applications through market research, user interviews, and data analysis
• Define a roadmap by generating product ideas and assessing impact-based priorities
• Work closely with engineering leadership on resource planning
• Partner with the design team to develop mockups and conduct user research
• Collaborate with data science teams to understand key user/business metrics and testing plans
• Drive project execution by leading agile scrum sessions with development teams
• Lead executive updates and stakeholder meetings
• Write concise product requirements and summaries for new feature releases
• Lead working group meetings to make key decisions and remove obstacles

Requirements

• 15+ years of product management experience
• At least seven years of management experience
• Experience in a consumer technology environment
• Proven track record of building and launching websites and apps
• Ability to drive big-picture strategy while providing detailed project guidance
• Proficient in common product design and management frameworks
• Analytical mindset with a data-first approach
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Excellent written and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in eCommerce, Lifestyle, Luxury, or Arts
• Degree in a technical or quantitative major
• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Demonstrated interest in user experience or art
