VP of Medical Economics

Responsibilities

• Own total cost-of-care analytics across payer contracts including PMPM, utilization, and service categories on Tuva infrastructure
• Develop shared savings calculations, baseline construction, and cost normalization methodologies
• Lead payer reporting and serve as primary analytical counterpart to health plan actuarial teams
• Design drug episode groupers by cancer type, line of therapy, and regimen
• Build clinical pathway analytics, biosimilar conversion tracking, and weight-based dosing compliance monitoring
• Model site-of-care shift financial impact and track migration trends
• Build internal and external reporting stack including payer-facing savings dashboards
• Lead medical economics AI strategy and develop agentic workflows for claims analytics and EHR monitoring
• Support payer growth with opportunity assessments, contract term design, and negotiation defense
• Build and lead the medical economics function while serving on the senior leadership team

Requirements

• Deep experience in medical economics, healthcare analytics, or actuarial science
• Expertise in payer contracts, shared savings models, and baseline methodology
• Strong proficiency with claims data, utilization reporting, and healthcare cost modeling
• Experience building analytics infrastructure and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
• Familiarity with AI and LLM applications in healthcare analytics and reporting automation
• Ability to operate as a hands-on individual contributor while scaling a team
• Strong communication skills to defend analytical methodologies in payer negotiations
