About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead finance and accounting operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, job cost reporting, and audits
- Advise executive leadership on capital allocation, investment decisions, cash flow, and financial performance
- Support board, lender, and management reporting, including cash forecasting and working capital planning
- Oversee monthly close, reconciliations, accruals, depreciation, amortization, and covenant-related transactions
- Improve ERP and finance processes to enable a faster, more accurate close and stronger controls
- Manage and develop a small finance team in a fast-paced, multi-site manufacturing environment
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFAR, CAS, and defense manufacturing accounting requirements
Requirements
- US Citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience
- Strong background in defense manufacturing accounting and compliance
- Hands-on knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Experience with multi-site manufacturing and financial statement consolidation
- Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting
- ERP system experience, including implementation or process improvement
- Strong financial analysis, modeling, and reporting skills
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation
- Experience in a private equity-backed portfolio company
- Prior CFO-track or succession-planning experience
- Familiarity with equity-based management incentive plans and liquidity events
Benefits
- Base salary range of approximately $180,000 to $210,000
