VP of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Drive technical and operational excellence across the engineering function through culture, process, and systems
• Hire and retain world-class talent to support Transluce’s mission
• Develop the careers of engineers and managers across the organization
• Create clarity and alignment around goals, priorities, and roadmaps at both the organizational and team levels
• Manage competing priorities and communicate trade-offs to advocate for the organization's best interests
• Facilitate effective collaboration within and across various technical teams
• Set vision and prioritization for core infrastructure in partnership with senior engineers

Requirements

• Proven experience scaling a fast-growing company from 20 to 40+ employees as a senior leader
• Experience managing multiple layers of management
• Strong management and mentorship skills with the ability to develop both engineers and managers
• Expertise in technical strategy, organizational design, and long-term planning
• Ability to operate effectively on a 12+ month time horizon
• Ability to balance high-level decision-making with the ability to dive into technical details when necessary
