Duet empowers Nurse Practitioners to run and grow independent primary care clinics—closing gaps in access while keeping care local. We are a well-funded seed-stage company building a vertically integrated enablement platform for NP-led practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical strategy and own architectural decisions across the stack
• Design and implement backend systems that transform complex healthcare data into products
• Build application surfaces including dashboards, workflows, and operational tools
• Translate manual, service-driven processes into durable software abstractions and automation
• Manage and grow the engineering team through hiring, mentorship, and technical leadership
• Own quality and reliability by establishing engineering standards and testing practices

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building production web applications
• Strong backend and data engineering instincts
• Experience building data-intensive customer-facing applications
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
• Full-stack capability with a backend focus
• Experience with cloud data warehouses and modern data tooling
• Experience managing an engineering team
• Product engineering mindset focused on the user perspective

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare, billing, or claims data
• Experience turning internal tools or managed services into self-serve products
• Experience with workflow automation or rule-based systems
