About the Company

Cape is America’s privacy-first mobile carrier. Founded in 2022, Cape is building a secure network from the ground up to provide privacy and security features that traditional cellular infrastructure cannot offer. We serve consumers, businesses, and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Grow, steer, and motivate an engineering organization capable of scaling with the company
• Develop leaders, establish clear goals, and create high-performance operating rhythms
• Translate business and technical strategy into an executable engineering roadmap
• Serve as the company’s technical face in senior-level meetings with government customers and enterprise C-Suites
• Ensure the team is resourced, structured, and focused to deliver against company strategy
• Maintain a hands-on approach by contributing to the codebase part of the day

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience, including at least one startup or growth tech company
• 3+ years of people leadership experience (hiring, promoting, and performance management)
• Proven track record of mentoring direct reports into leadership roles
• Impeccable technical skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Genuine excitement about privacy and defense use cases

Preferred Qualifications

• Telecommunications or network experience
• Background in security, privacy, or defense
• Existing security clearance or willingness to obtain one
