VP, Medical

Responsibilities

• Lead the Medical team across a large network affiliate, providing strategic and scientific direction for diverse healthcare clients
• Provide scientific guidance to Medical, Creative, Account, and Planning teams to ensure the creation of compelling, clinically accurate content
• Identify new clinical trends and analyze clinical data to drive opportunities for clients and the agency
• Lead and mentor Medical team members while monitoring department resource utilization
• Guide the creation of promotional materials and consult on medical content production, including KOL engagements and advisory boards
• Improve medical literacy across agency groups regarding disease states, clinical trials, and competition
• Oversee submissions for client medical and regulatory approval processes
• Participate in new business activities and maintain significant client partnerships

Requirements

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD)
• 7-10 years of industry experience in pharmaceutical marketing, scientific communications, medical affairs, or medical education
• 4-5 years of advertising agency or marketing experience
• Proven ability to perform scientific literature searches and interpret complex clinical data
• Strong familiarity with FDA marketing regulations and AMA editorial style
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational communication skills
• Ability to travel as needed
