VP, Medical

Responsibilities

• Lead the Medical team across a large network affiliate managing multiple disease states
• Provide strategic and scientific direction to Medical, Creative, Account, and Planning teams
• Identify new clinical trends and implement disease state knowledge to drive client opportunities
• Analyze clinical data, conduct literature searches, and perform competitive analyses
• Lead and mentor Medical team members and monitor department resource utilization
• Guide the creation of clinically accurate promotional materials and medical content
• Improve medical literacy across agency groups regarding clinical trials and treatments
• Guide submissions for client medical and regulatory approval processes
• Participate in new business activities and maintain significant client partnerships

Requirements

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD)
• 7-10 years of experience in agency or pharmaceutical industry
• 4-5 years of advertising agency or marketing experience
• Proven track record in scientific storytelling and communicating medical advances
• Ability to perform scientific literature searches and interpret complex clinical data
• Familiarity with FDA marketing regulations and AMA editorial style
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel as needed
