VP, Medical Affairs

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated Medical Affairs Strategy for approved BCMA CAR-T and pipeline programs
• Provide strategic leadership to the medical affairs team, including oversight of 16+ MSLs
• Oversee medical functions including Medical Strategy, Thought Leader Engagement, Publications, Data Generation, and Medical Information
• Collaborate with partners like Johnson & Johnson to align on strategic, scientific, and operational matters
• Lead U.S. and Global strategic plans for product launches, publication plans, and congress planning
• Oversee departmental budgets and ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations
• Lead company-sponsored non-registration trials, registries, and secondary data analyses

Requirements

• MD (preferred), PhD, PharmD, or relevant advanced degree
• 10+ years of experience in pharma, biotech drug development, or academia
• Extensive knowledge of drug development and multiple functional areas (clinical, regulatory, commercial, etc.)
• Experience in oncology or malignant hematology, particularly multiple myeloma or cellular therapy
• Proven ability to build medical capabilities and shape treatment landscapes
• Understanding of GCP and medical affairs compliance
• Experience in product lifecycle management
• Strong leadership and ability to influence in a matrix environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing relationships with the multiple myeloma KOL community
• Prior NDA or BLA filing, submission, and launch experience
