VP- Legal Transaction Relationship Manager

Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate, and prepare governing documents for international cross-border bond, loan, escrow, and account bank transactions.
• Act as the primary liaison between legal counsel, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure all transactions meet operational and documentation standards.
• Identify and escalate unusual or novel deal features to internal Legal, Risk, and Tax teams to mitigate operational risk.
• Maintain and optimize internal procedures and proprietary checklists in alignment with legal, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Manage the transaction lifecycle from mandate and launch through to closing and maturity.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in Debt Capital Markets (DCM) or Equity Capital Markets (ECM) within a financial institution.
• 3+ years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) in a law firm specializing in DCM, ECM, or similar fields.
• Strong background in private legal practice, Corporate Trust, or banking.
• Proven expertise in document negotiation and deep knowledge of debt capital markets.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with both internal and external parties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Non-Debt Rules & Deposit Regulations, 2016 (RBI) for Escrow Accounts in India.
