VP, Head of Digital Engineering, APAC

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end IT application development and production for the Zurich Edge Platform to support digital business growth across APAC.
• Drive the identification and adoption of best practices, tools, and frameworks for development and operations.
• Execute the SaaS agenda for the Zurich Edge Platform, focusing on high levels of reuse and optimized delivery.
• Convert strategic objectives into technical action by maintaining robust technical designs and ensuring adherence during the build phase.
• Implement robust engineering and DevOps practices to enable frequent multi-country deployments.
• Ensure information security requirements and production monitoring/observability are integrated into the design and build processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in senior stakeholder engagement and influence.
• Extensive experience leading and managing teams of developers.
• In-depth technical understanding of Restful APIs, Spring Boot (Java), JavaScript, and ReactJS.
• Proficiency with databases (Postgres) and cloud technologies including AWS and Docker containers.
• Strong experience with DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Ability to document technical designs, review code, and conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for new tools and frameworks.
• Relevant technology qualifications and certifications.
