VP, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale full-stack product engineering teams in Bangalore, overseeing Software, Hardware, QA, and Operations
• Partner with global leadership to align local roadmaps with global product strategy
• Drive architectural decisions, engineering best practices, and technical excellence
• Serve as the senior floor leader for the 300-person Bangalore engineering office
• Shape office culture, fostering high performance, collaboration, and psychological safety
• Own the employee experience, including onboarding, engagement, and talent retention
• Build and mentor a deep bench of engineering leaders and drive hiring strategy
• Act as the primary liaison between the Bangalore office and global executive leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• 12–15 years of progressive software engineering experience with significant senior leadership roles
• Hands-on software engineering background with experience writing production code
• Proven experience leading and scaling large engineering teams (200+ people)
• Demonstrated track record of building or transforming engineering cultures
• Strong full-stack product engineering expertise and architectural guidance skills
• Exceptional people leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Strong operational acumen for managing a large office environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in payments, fintech, or enterprise technology
• Experience leading engineering hubs across multiple global time zones
• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, API-first development, and DevOps
• Prior experience as a site lead or country engineering head
