About the Company

Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes across North America away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy use. We are building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company to make clean energy simple, transparent, and affordable.

Responsibilities

• Own the consolidated financial close across US and Canadian entities
• Lead, hire, and develop the accounting team into a functional organization
• Produce US GAAP financial statements, board reporting packages, and investor materials
• Manage technical accounting including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and equity
• Build and maintain the internal control environment for external audit readiness
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
• Oversee tax strategy and compliance across US and Canadian jurisdictions
• Lead the financial systems roadmap, including NetSuite optimization
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
• Support fundraising, M&A, and strategic diligence work
• Oversee treasury, cash management, and working capital

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership
• Experience as a Controller or VP at a high-growth, venture-backed company
• Active CPA designation
• Big 4 or comparable public accounting foundation
• Experience running multi-entity, cross-border accounting (US and Canada)
• Proven track record of scaling an accounting function
• NetSuite fluency
• Experience managing external audits
• Strong grounding in tax and indirect tax
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Proficiency with modern tools and AI for automation

Preferred Qualifications

• US GAAP expertise
• MBA or Master's in Accounting
