VP Construction Project Management

Responsibilities

• Lead a national team of Project Managers within Real Estate Management Services (REMS) across Canada.
• Oversee construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet high quality and safety standards.
• Drive the development and execution of national project management strategies aligned with business goals.
• Optimize construction processes to drive operational efficiencies and reduce costs without compromising quality.
• Manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance (building codes, safety, and environmental), and monitor project performance.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and succession planning for senior construction managers and teams.
• Foster professional relationships with external stakeholders, including contractors and vendors.
• Develop national standards, KPIs, and tools to elevate project management practices.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience managing multiple project teams and contractors across various asset classes (office, retail, industrial, etc.).
• Expertise in construction project management, including scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, and contract administration.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery and cost management.
• Deep knowledge of construction best practices, building codes, and safety standards.
• Ability to develop short to medium-term operational plans, including budgets and staffing levels.
• Master's degree and/or advanced certifications such as PMP, LEED AP, or equivalent.
