About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the enterprise community resilience strategy, including geographic prioritization and outcome measurement.
- Lead the development of a pipeline of community-scale resilience initiatives focused on wildfire, flood, wind, and severe convective storm perils.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with external partners such as municipal leaders, utilities, developers, and government stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary external voice for Chubb on community resilience through industry forums, regulatory engagement, and thought leadership.
- Partner across business units, including Catastrophe Management, Government Affairs, and Underwriting, to align resilience efforts with portfolio outcomes.
- Develop public and private partnerships and pilot programs to validate the financial and risk case for community-scale mitigation.
- Communicate strategy, progress, and enterprise impact to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in environmental science, engineering, urban planning, or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in climate resilience, adaptation, infrastructure planning, or public policy.
- Deep expertise in climate resilience or adaptation with a track record of translating complex risk into enterprise strategies.
- Proven experience operating in large, matrixed organizations and influencing without direct authority.
- Strong stakeholder engagement expertise with the ability to represent an organization in executive and regulatory forums.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-stakeholder initiatives with measurable outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the insurance industry, property risk, or catastrophe modeling.
- Professional certifications such as CEM, CFM, PMP, LEED AP, or ENV SP.
Benefits
- Competitive pay range of $144,000 to $216,000 based on skills and experience.
- Eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program.
