VP, Community Relations

Responsibilities

• Own community relationships during high-stakes moments including rezoning and new market entry
• Develop and maintain the local issues management playbook and escalation protocols
• Lead presence at local government proceedings such as rezoning hearings and permitting processes
• Build proactive relationships with local stakeholders including elected officials, regulators, and adjacent landowners
• Support Land Development with community strategy and hearing logistics
• Serve as a company spokesperson in community and local government settings
• Coordinate with Corporate Communications and Marketing on local issues and public postings
• Manage and develop the Community Relations Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 10+ years of experience in community relations, public affairs, or external affairs
• Ability to travel regularly to prospective and existing campus markets

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree
• Established relationships with local government and regulatory organizations in Texas or multi-state markets
• Experience in energy, infrastructure, or real estate development sectors
