About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead integrated marketing strategy for ESPN's portfolio of sports properties, including ACC Network, SEC Network, WNBA, and major league partnerships.
- Drive audience growth and fan engagement through data-driven marketing strategies across streaming, social, and mobile platforms.
- Shape and execute ESPN's brand marketing strategy for flagship campaigns, original content, and tentpole events like the ESPYs.
- Develop experiential programs and integrated campaigns that position ESPN at the intersection of sports, culture, and entertainment.
- Oversee consumer products and licensing marketing initiatives to extend brand reach.
- Champion innovative marketing approaches leveraging emerging technologies and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Build and inspire a high-performing organization through empathetic leadership, coaching, and mentorship.
- Partner with senior leaders across Programming, Content, Product, and Direct-to-Consumer businesses to drive business results.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of experience leading sports marketing, brand marketing, media, entertainment, or streaming businesses.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving measurable business results.
- Deep understanding of fan behavior, digital audience engagement, and the evolving sports media landscape.
- Expertise in building brands through impactful storytelling, integrated campaigns, and experiential marketing.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to leverage audience insights and data to influence strategic decision-making.
- Exceptional executive presence and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
