VP, Accounting Policy

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Company’s accounting policy function, including identifying and documenting complex transactions from US GAAP and IFRS perspectives
• Monitor and evaluate new FASB accounting standards and lead implementation efforts
• Maintain the Company’s accounting policies and policy library
• Provide company trainings on key accounting policy topics
• Act as a technical accounting liaison to the RM Sotheby’s subsidiary
• Own areas of financial accounting, reporting, and audit processes including debt, CECL, and asset recoverability
• Lead preparation of quarterly and annual Property reports and financial statement footnotes
• Enhance internal control procedures and review monthly reconciliations in Blackline
• Assist in the review of the cash flow statement process
• Act as a liaison for the implementation of new ESG standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 10+ years of accounting experience
• Minimum 5 years in public accounting
• Active CPA license
• Strong knowledge of Financial Statement Reporting and US GAAP
• Working knowledge of IFRS preferred
• Experience with internal controls
• Strong project management and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IFRS
• SAP and Hyperion/HFM experience
• Experience with DFIN Donnelly financial reporting tool
• Working knowledge of ESG concepts
