VP, Accounting

Responsibilities

• Own the global financial close process and drive continuous improvement in speed, quality, and scalability across all entities.
• Lead the accounting function's transformation agenda by identifying opportunities to eliminate, simplify, and automate workflows.
• Oversee all core accounting operations, including AP, AR, General Ledger, Revenue Recognition (ASC 606), and multi-currency global consolidations.
• Manage technical accounting areas such as purchase accounting, equity, M&A integration, and debt.
• Manage the external auditor relationship and lead engagement with the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
• Oversee global compliance, including tax strategy, multi-country compliance, and global payroll-related accounting obligations.
• Build and maintain a strong internal controls environment that satisfies PE and audit committee expectations.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing accounting team, investing in their professional growth.
• Collaborate with Legal, IT, Sales Ops, and FP&A to ensure accounting policies keep pace with the evolving commercial model.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles at a SaaS or high-growth technology company.
• CPA certification is required.
• Deep technical expertise in US GAAP, multi-entity consolidation, multi-currency, and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Proven experience in a PE-backed environment, including engagement with audit committees and investor-grade reporting.
• Strong proficiency in NetSuite or an equivalent enterprise ERP in a multi-entity environment.
• Demonstrated track record of improving financial close processes and upgrading accounting infrastructure.
• A genuine curiosity about technology, automation, and the impact of AI on accounting workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with M&A, from diligence support through post-close integration.
• Multi-country tax compliance and transfer pricing experience within a global SaaS model.
• Background in vertical SaaS or hospitality technology.
• Big 4 public accounting experience.
