VoIP Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain VoIP services and components for our SIP-based platform
• Implement and enhance integrations with external systems and third-party APIs
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex SIP, RTP, and WebRTC issues to ensure high call quality
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and related backend services
• Apply secure software design principles across all layers of the stack
• Conduct testing and optimize system performance and scalability
• Support the team in defining and enforcing secure development processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related engineering field
• Solid experience as a VoIP developer working with SIP-based platforms
• Strong hands-on experience with Kamailio and Asterisk (design, scripting, and configuration)
• Deep understanding of SIP protocols including TLS, SDP, RTP/SRTP/RTCP, ICE, and WebRTC
• Experience with FreeSWITCH and/or FreePBX
• 3+ years of experience with Node.js or Python and Express.js
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in Linux environments and standard Git/CI/CD workflows
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Zabbix, or Loki

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, ECS, ALB)
• Knowledge of message brokers such as SQS or RabbitMQ
• Proficiency in shell scripting and networking tools
