Vocational Teacher Construction and Civil Engineering

About the Company

At Yrkesgymnasiet Ale, students learn a trade from the ground up directly at real workplaces. More than half of the training time takes place through workplace-based learning (APL), providing students with practical experience and a head start in the labor market. We also offer international internships and exchanges through Erasmus+.

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor students in Construction and Civil Engineering (Mark och anläggning)
• Act as a bridge between the school, students, and the business sector
• Prepare students for their future professional lives through practical and theoretical guidance
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to create a meaningful learning environment

Requirements

• Certified teacher in Construction and Civil Engineering OR at least five years of professional experience in the earthworks and civil engineering industry
• Strong drive to teach and mentor students
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Valid B-class driver's license (access to own car is preferred)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Teaching degree or extensive industry experience
• Pedagogical experience is preferred but not required
• Must be able to provide a clean criminal record (belastningsregister) as per the Swedish Education Act
