Vocational Rehabilitation Expert

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of medical records, functional capacity evaluations, and employment histories.
• Evaluate individual employability, transferable skills, earning capacity, and return-to-work potential.
• Perform labor market analysis, including surveys of job availability, wage trends, and occupational requirements.
• Prepare clear, objective, and well-supported expert reports detailing vocational findings and methodologies.
• Provide credible deposition and trial testimony regarding vocational rehabilitation and labor market considerations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in vocational rehabilitation, disability management, or workers’ compensation.
• Prior experience providing sworn testimony in depositions, hearings, or trial settings.
• Strong knowledge of vocational assessment methodologies and labor market research.
• Exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex medical and employment information into defensible professional opinions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) credential.
• Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE) credential.
• ABVE/F certification or other relevant professional credentials.
