Vocational Nursing Instructor

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction for the LVN program, covering both lecture content and clinical rotations
• Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and online activities to enhance course content
• Assist with reviewing and revising course syllabi and instructional guidelines
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and skills check-off forms
• Submit required program reports and forms to the Program Director in a timely manner
• Keep current with new nursing technologies, safety regulations, and professional developments
• Participate in committees and professional development to maintain licensure and stay current with college updates

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current licensure in the state of application
• Minimum of 3 years of bedside experience as an LVN or RN
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Current immunizations
• Ability to meet faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings
