Vocational Nursing Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach both lecture content and lead clinical rotations (available on weekdays and/or weekends)
• Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and online activities to enhance course content
• Assist with reviewing and revising course syllabi and instructional guidelines
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and skills check-off forms
• Submit required program reports and forms to the Program Director in a timely manner
• Keep current with new nursing technologies, safety regulations, and professional developments
• Participate in committees and professional development to maintain licensure and stay updated on college standards

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current state licensure
• Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of nursing experience OR an Associate's Degree with 5 years of nursing experience
• Recent bedside nursing experience is required
• Ability to meet faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Current immunizations
