VN Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach both lecture content and clinical rotations for the LVN program
• Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and online activities to enhance course content
• Assist with reviewing and revising course syllabi and instructional guidelines
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and skills check-off forms
• Submit required program reports and forms to the Program Director in a timely manner
• Keep current with new nursing technologies, safety regulations, and professional developments
• Participate in college committees and professional development activities

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in the state of application
• 3 years of bedside experience with an RN/BSN OR 6 years of bedside experience with an LVN/Associate Degree
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Current immunizations
