vMix Switcher Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate vMix as the primary switcher for live sports broadcasts, studio shows, and remote productions
• Execute transitions, cuts, picture-in-picture, overlays, lower-thirds, and dynamic graphics
• Manage multiple video inputs, camera feeds, replay sources, and remote contributions
• Configure technical settings including routing, audio buses, NDI sources, and protocols such as SRT and RTMP
• Collaborate with producers, directors, and MCR to ensure seamless execution of rundowns and commercial breaks
• Monitor audio/video levels and signal sync to maintain high-quality broadcast standards
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time during high-pressure live environments

Requirements

• Degree in Broadcasting, Audiovisual Production, Media Technology, or a related field
• Proven professional experience operating vMix or similar live production switching systems
• Strong knowledge of NDI, SRT, RTMP, and IP-based video workflows
• Solid understanding of broadcast standards, encoding formats, and audio mixing principles
• Intermediate English proficiency for technical documentation and international communication
• Ability to remain calm and make rapid, accurate decisions under live broadcast pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically within live sports broadcasting
• Familiarity with control room workflows and studio operations
• Experience with cloud contribution tools and digital live streaming platforms
