Viz Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and play out graphic elements for live and pre-recorded programming
• Execute cleanly on-air within a high-stress, rapidly changing broadcast environment
• Work directly with technical staff and producers to satisfy production requirements
• Quickly troubleshoot graphic errors in coordination with producers
• Operate under the supervision of the show’s director and operations management

Requirements

• 2+ years of graphic playout experience in a live control room environment
• Knowledge of the Viz Trio system with at least 1 year of experience using Viz in a live control room
• Solid working knowledge of HD quality control equipment
• Strong understanding of broadcast language
• Excellent typing, spelling, and grammatical skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-pressure setting
• Flexible schedule to accommodate overnight shifts or weekend morning shifts (5:00 AM ET – 1:00 PM ET)
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience
