Visual Support Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist with converting inaccessible formatted materials to accessible versions, including interpreting and describing data visualizations in scientific papers
• Create aesthetically appealing presentations, system diagrams, and data visualizations in partnership with faculty research
• Assist with repetitive tasks that may be inaccessible, such as travel planning or navigating specialized software and programming tools
• Proofread and spot-check manuscripts to ensure adequate visual appeal and accuracy
• Provide guided assistance to and from on-campus events as requested

Requirements

• Experience providing visual assistance in a variety of tasks and settings
• Experience creating quality designs for presentations, infographics, and statistical data
• Experience working in a higher education environment
• Demonstrated proficiency with LaTeX software
