About the role
Responsibilities
- Inspect tires using x-ray machines to identify defects and determine necessary repairs
- Operate finishing machines, x-ray machines, and support machinery in the Commercial Final Finish department
- Perform 100% inspection of truck tires and remove off-standard tires from conveyors
- Record inspection information and monitor ongoing product quality
- React quickly to equipment downtime and notify supervision of extraordinary conditions
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area following 5S characteristics
- Follow all plant, environmental, and departmental safety policies
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- Ability to walk and climb stairs
- Ability to perform medium to heavy periodic lifting
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to identify defects and maintain high attention to detail in a production setting
