Visual Inspector

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires using x-ray machines to identify defects and determine necessary repairs
• Operate finishing machines, x-ray machines, and support machinery in the Commercial Final Finish department
• Perform 100% inspection of truck tires and remove off-standard tires from conveyors
• Record inspection information and monitor ongoing product quality
• React quickly to equipment downtime and notify supervision of extraordinary conditions
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area following 5S characteristics
• Follow all plant, environmental, and departmental safety policies

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• Ability to walk and climb stairs
• Ability to perform medium to heavy periodic lifting
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to identify defects and maintain high attention to detail in a production setting
