Visual Inspection Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of sterile filled containers (vials) to identify and cull visible defects
• Repetitively handle containers by swirling and inverting them under a light source
• Record production quantities and data in adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Apply math skills for piece counting, time calculations, and product reconciliation
• Follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP standards accurately
• Perform daily cleaning of visual inspection and packaging areas
• Identify and communicate product quality issues to the appropriate teams

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to maintain 20/20 vision (corrected or uncorrected) and discern colors
• Ability to wear required PPE (gloves, hair/beard covers, lab coats) for entire shifts
• Basic computer, math, and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to sit for long periods (over 75% of work time) and lift up to 20 pounds regularly
• Ability to follow complex technical instructions and SOPs written in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within an FDA, USDA, or GMP regulated environment
