Visual Inspection Lead

Responsibilities

• Perform 100% manual visual inspection, labeling, and packaging of sterile filled containers in accordance with GMP standards
• Supervise and motivate team members to ensure adherence to ethics, safety procedures, and production standards
• Serve as a liaison between manufacturing team members and Visual Inspection Management
• Initiate Quality System Event investigations, including Event Reports, Deviations, and CAPAs
• Train new employees on visual inspection requirements for liquid and lyophilized final vial products
• Review protocols and manufacturing batch records while providing insight for process improvements
• Support the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as defect rates and inspection throughput
• Collaborate with management to create effective work schedules and ensure process capabilities

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in inspection and manufacturing within an FDA/EU regulated environment
• Strong expertise in GMP and SOP compliance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Ability to maintain visual qualifications (20/20 corrected or uncorrected vision)
• Ability to work while wearing required PPE for entire shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with visual inspection, labeling, or packaging of pharmaceutical final products, medical devices, or combination products
• Prior laboratory experience
