About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver compelling creative for websites, social media, print materials, data visualizations, and video narratives.
  • Lead the visual design and front-end execution of digital storytelling projects, including microsites and motion graphics.
  • Collaborate with developers, writers, and campaigners to create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.
  • Uphold and evolve the organization's visual identity and manage design systems and style libraries.
  • Source, edit, and produce visual content using photography and video to support campaign goals.
  • Review and guide work from design contractors, consultants, and agency partners.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in visual design with a portfolio showcasing both static and interactive work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and motion/video tools such as After Effects or Premiere.
  • Experience designing for web and mobile platforms with an understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI principles and experience collaborating on interactive or data-driven products.
  • Fluency in English and the local language of the office location (Mexico City, Bogota, or Rio de Janeiro).
  • A strong commitment to social justice, equity, and human rights.
