Visual Content Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop multimedia plans that support strategic communications objectives
• Lead photography and videography shoots from concept to execution
• Manage pre-production tasks including outlines, scripts, and storyboards
• Execute post-production editing for audio and visual materials, optimizing content for social media
• Produce promotional and outreach materials and design graphic elements for digital media
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for story development and cross-promotion
• Maintain a comprehensive repository of digital media records

Requirements

• Advanced College Diploma (3 years) in interactive media, multimedia digital design, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in photography, videography, audio production, and graphic design
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Audition, etc.)
• Expert knowledge of sound and lighting design, color grading, and audio mixing
• Advanced experience with DSLR cameras, mixers, microphones, and other video production equipment
• Experience with livestreaming and virtual event technologies (e.g., Zoom, YouTube, Instagram)
• Knowledge of AODA accessibility guidelines and digital media best practices
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Related work experience in a post-secondary environment
